As part of our growth and expansion efforts, this role focuses on supporting the sales and specification teams with complex lighting projects. Responsibilities include managing multiple lighting product types, performing lux calculations, preparing BOQs with alternative proposals, and assisting designers with concept designs. Key tasks involve selecting luminaires, planning placements, calculating light levels, creating renderings, and ensuring designs align with project goals and energy efficiency standards.
The role also ensures seamless integration of lighting solutions with building systems such as dimming and Guest Room Management Systems, along with planning for daylight integration and ensure compliance with sustainability requirements.
Collaboration with architects, interior designers, and contractors is vital to ensure proper luminaire installation and successful project execution, including site visits and troubleshooting. Staying updated on new product launches and market trends by working closely with the product development team is also a key aspect of the role.
About the role
The role involves preparing lighting calculations and creating 3D renderings using software such as DIALux and Relux. It includes generating submission drawings, shop drawings, and 3D visualizations with design tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3Ds Max, Lumion, and Photoshop.
Responsibilities include preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and supporting the sales team by recommending suitable luminaires from various manufacturers based on client specifications. The role also entails participating in client meetings, site inspections, and project review sessions, as well as preparing and delivering client presentations.
Additionally, the position requires conducting site visits for mock-ups and providing installation guidance as needed, while staying updated on the latest trends and techniques in lighting design.
About you
The ideal applicant should have a strong understanding of lighting design principles, along with proficiency in lighting technologies and tools. Expertise in lighting software such as DIALux and Relux, as well as design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D Max, Lumion, and Photoshop, is essential.
Experience in working with architectural and shop drawings is required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines while effectively collaborating with various stakeholders. The candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Additionally, they should possess exceptional presentation and organizational skills, with a positive attitude, high energy, and adaptability to dynamic environments.
